Naomi Osaka succeeds again. The Japanese tennis player is the winner of the first Grand Slam tournament of the year, the Australian Open, a competition she won for the second time after the 2019 one.
Moreover, for Osaka this triumph in Melbourne is also her fourth Grand Slam title in her career after the successes in the US Open in 2018 and 2020 and exactly the Australian Open of two years ago.
In the final, Naomi Osaka defeated the American Jennifer Brady with the result 2-0 in a match in which she appeared superior to her opponent, recording at the same time her 21st victory in a row – Top Channel reports.
Osaka, who eliminated a world tennis legend in the semifinals, like Serena Williams, did not spend much time defeating their opponent in this Australian Open final.
In the first set there was a kind of balance between the two tennis players who at one point won from a game with each other’s services to go up to 4-4. But in the last two games, Osaka appeared superior to Brady, winning them the whole set 6-4.
In the second set, Osaka quickly took the lead at 4-0, appearing dominant over Jennifer Brady.
The American showed at one point the pride by reducing the difference to 4-2 with the game, and then to 5-3, but Osaka did not prolong this challenge anymore by winning the ninth game and the whole second faction 6-3 of the match. 2-1 to lift the Australian Open trophy again.
